These terms govern your use of theavontrust.org, including donations made through it, event tickets purchased, and downloadable resources. By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

The Avon Trust is a registered charity in England and Wales (No. 219050) and a company limited by guarantee (No. 00781432). Registered office: 12 Pulteney Court, Bath BA2 4DN.
3. Use of the website
You may view, download and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share links to our pages freely. You may not republish material in any way that suggests endorsement of products or services, or alter our content without our written permission.
4. Intellectual property
All written content, photography, illustrations and code on this site are © The Avon Trust unless otherwise marked. Resources and toolkits published under our Resources page are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0). Our name and logo are registered trademarks.
5. Donations
Donations made through this site are processed securely by Stripe under their own terms. You will receive an email receipt within ten minutes. Refund requests are considered up to 30 days after the donation; please email [email protected]. Recurring donations may be cancelled at any time, in writing or by phone.
6. Gift Aid
If you tick the Gift Aid box, you confirm you are a UK taxpayer and that you pay enough Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year to cover the amount we will reclaim on your donations. You must tell us if your circumstances change.
7. Event tickets
Event ticket prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Tickets are not transferable for events with capacity caps. Refunds are available up to 14 days before the event. If we have to cancel or postpone an event, you will be offered a full refund or transfer to the rescheduled date.
8. Resources & toolkits
Materials in our Resources section are provided in good faith but are general in nature. They are not a substitute for professional legal, financial or safeguarding advice. We accept no liability for outcomes that arise from their use.
9. User submissions
If you submit a story, photograph or comment to us, you grant the Avon Trust a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it in our publications and online channels, with appropriate credit (unless you request anonymity). We will not publish without your explicit consent and may pay a modest honorarium for substantial contributions.
10. Links to other sites
Where this site links to other sites we do so for information only. We are not responsible for the content of any external site and a link does not imply endorsement.
11. Limitation of liability
This site is provided on an "as is" basis. We will use reasonable endeavours to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant uninterrupted operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from your use of the site, save in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
12. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, please discuss any donation or sign-up with a parent or guardian.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. The version date is at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes your acceptance.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
